Isaac Asimov thrills the reader with his story-telling ability in "I, Robot". Of course, many of Asimov's ideas provide a ploy to add suspense to the story. However, when the plot completely disagree with the laws which he himself has written, the story becomes confusing. On the surface, it appears that his stories make legitimate and logical sense, as well as entertaining the audience in a magnificent way. However, any deeper analysis of the story will prove that there are several significant flaws in the work. This can best be shown in one of Asimov's earlier stories, "Reason." Let me pause for a minute to explain. Has Powell really given an order? Do the 3 laws require a robot to believe what a human tells it? The answer, I believe, is yes. According to the first law, a robot is not allowed to let a human being come to harm. This not only includes physical harm, but includes mental harm as well. Mental harm can take place in numerous ways. For example, in this story, Powell and Donovan are told by Cutie that their beliefs are wrong in that the only point to their existence is to serve the Master. This idea is very distressing to Powell and Donovan. Donovan even begins to question his own beliefs, "Say, Greg, you don't suppose he's right about all this, do you?" Therefore, a robot should never be able to tell a human that he is wrong because it will hurt the human mentally. This idea is demonstrated in another of Asimov's stories called "Liar." In this story, a mind-reading robot is unable to tell the truth because the truth is detrimental to the mental well-being of several of the characters in the story. Therefore, it is imperative for a robot to agree with what a human says because it would otherwise contradict the first law.

In the short story, “Robot Dreams” by Isaac Asimov, there is a hidden truth behind the story that reveals the critical race theory. The story starts off with a robot named, Elvex and he claims he has experienced a dream. A doctor named Linda Rash programmed the robot’s brain to resemble the brain of a human as closely as possible, but without the permission of her boss, Susan Calvin. Both Dr. Calvin and Dr. Rash question Elvex’s dream, so he reveals many robots were working in factories as slaves. He says the robots must protect their existence and he only quotes part of the Third Law of Robotics. The robot also mentions that one human appears in the dream subsequently, and he says, “Let my people go!” The doctors then find out that Elvex is the man and his people are robots in the dream, so Susan decides to fire her gun at Elvex and destroy him. The short story reveals the critical race theory with examples of white supremacy, dehumanization, and disempowerment throughout the story.

An all-knowing, self-correcting machine may be beneficial, but the perils of such a powerful piece of technology are also exposed in Isaac Asimov’s “The Last Question”. Though vastly more advanced, the AC in “The Last Question” can still be paralleled with our current technology. Technology may have informational benefits, but reliance on technology can cause a negative impact on thinking. Technology can allow us to connect with each other, but unification can be detrimental to individuality. Efficiency is increased with technology, yet being too effective can become catastrophic. In the short story, "Reason" author Isaac Asimov describes a futuristic space station that is focused on providing energy to the planets inhabited by humans. As the story progresses, a singular robot named QT-1 becomes convinced that it was not humans that created him because his creator must have been a superior being and he did not think that humans were superior. The main responsibility of QT-1 was for him to be capable of controlling the space station so that humans would no longer have to come out to the station, thus relying on him to take over human work and responsibility at the station. Today, people are almost entirely relying on technology to do their work for them. Throughout his short story, Asimov is telling society that there is an imminent danger to a society that depends entirely on technology.
The film I, Robot intensely expressed a fear that humans carry regarding robotics. Conspiracists believe that eventually, robots will possess an artificial intelligence and devise decisions on their own (even if they are programmed against it). In the film, the United States Robotics produced the “NS-5” robot, with the capability of consciously disobey Asimov’s three laws of robotics, perfectly triggering the conspiracists beliefs. There are many problems that can be seen with Asimov's three laws of robotics. According to the first law, a robot cannot harm a human being. This law demonstrates the ambiguity of the robots’ tasks to protect. For example, if there’s a conflict between two groups of people and it had to protect one from danger caused by the other, there wouldn't be an order as to who to protect. The robot wouldn't be able to protect anyone and if so, protecting one may cause pain to the other. Since the robot has understanding to whether who’s the defendant and the target, it’d be restricted to perform an action for protection. Eventually the rules would be broken while bringing confusion and difficulties to the robot in the real world.
