Mahatma Gandhi once said, “If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning When I read that quote, I think of being a determined person with self-confidence. At the beginning of my junior year in high school, I was given a personal quiz determining whether you are a “D”, “S”, “I” or “C”. the directions were to draw a circle, and to draw a vertical line. The top half was extrovert, and the bottom half was introvert. I shaded in the top half because I am very outgoing person. the next step was to draw a horizontal line. the right side was task, and the left side was people. I choose the left side because I can get things done the way things need to be done. when all …show more content…
I am always disappointed in myself when I see and “B” on my report card because I know I have the potential to get all A’s. Most of the reason I get B’s for is because I am not interested in what the project is. I will do everything how it needs to be done but I will tend to not put much effort in it, but if I find something that I am interested in, I will not put whatever i’m working on down. For example, in my biology class last year we had to search for a disorder that traveled through genetics and make a poster informing the class about the disorder. In the past couple years I have been having really bad stomach problems and the doctors were leaning towards diagnosing me with crohn's disease, so I choose to research it because I didn't know much about it. I created the poster with every bit of information about crohn's and also decided to make a DNA model out of 95 cake balls. I made a 3D model on a double helix using to metal wires and cake ball sticks. It took me atleast all day sunday to make it work and no matter how many times the helix fell apart I kept working until the masterpiece was finished. This all comes to show that I am determined to get whatever done, even if it takes 100 …show more content…
When I am doing a group project, I am usually the one trying to do all the work. I work very good alone and tend to feel peaceful when I do things a lot because I know that all I have to depend on is me. For example when I created the double helix made of cake balls I tried to do all the work and I told my partner what to get me, instead of letting them help build it. I do not like when people copy my ideas even a little bit because I wanna be the best and I want to be different. Also when I was in biology, my freshman year, my class had to make a lesson on photosynthesis. we had to pair up with someone and come up with our idea together. My idea was to make a musical video, and my partners idea was to just make a poster because she thought that it would just be easier. I disagreed and said that she could make her own poster and I was make the video myself. When the project was all over with, we had to present to the whole class, and everyone had posters, and i was the only one with a video. Everyone enjoyed it and thought that it was funny. I got a 100% on it and basically everyone else did too. My partner was right about the poster being easier but i felt more proud of myself because i feel like i'm the only one that actually
2. In the 21st century exposure to media is an everyday event for most of us. Even at the grocery store, we see magazines and newspapers with eye-catching headings that may not be true. Also, the news is everywhere, and with technology on the rise, we even get news alerts on our phones. The media has taken over society. Most of the stories we read about seem to be true but in reality, are they giving a true insight of what is actually happening? Some of the stories cause people to become blindfolded from reality. This is because the stories that people read or see have a profound impact on shaping our reality rather they are true or not. We see the news about events that are going on in the world; rather they are catastrophic events or devastating events that were done by humans.
Self- esteem is used to describe a person's overall sense of self- worth or personal value.

While at the hospital, the patient, was having excessively slow AV nodal conduction rates that unfortunately haven’t been recognized. He started on the prescribed antihypertensive drug (s). As soon as blood levels climb towards the usual therapeutic range the patient goes into complete heart block. Which of the following drugs most likely provoked this further prolongation of the P-R interval, ultimately leading to the complete heart
Beliefs, attitudes and values are three little words that have and make a massive impact on who we are as individuals, who we are as people, and even how the world is viewed by ourselves and others. A belief is something that individuals or groups think, such as believing in a god. Where a Value would be the living life in the ways a religion expects, this value will be made from the belief that the person or group has in their God. The attitude towards this would be the feelings, beliefs and behaviour tendencies towards this, for example praying, reading the holy book,
Ever since I was young, I had a strong will to learn. I was curious even at a young age, and made it my goal to do the best as I could in every element of my life. From my academics to my extracarriculars, I strove to do my best. I came in the top percentage of my classes every year, and gained good testing scores. My grades were all As, and below that made me feel devistated. At one point, a B on a report card

This is my thirteenth online or hybrid class taken through the Peralta Colleges. As a returning, older student with a demanding full-time job, online classes make it possible for me to continue my education. I am a big fan of the online format, particularly well-structured courses such as this one.
When I was a junior we had a huge project for my U.S history class and it happened to be our final. I actually achieved greatly in other projects before that and felt confident in achieving our final. Our teacher recommended partners and actually enforced it. I held my pride and told her I could still do it myself and she stuck to her command and I was forced to have a group. I believed that it is best to not rely on others for help to truly get something done. But when it came to actually doing the project I recognized where I was wrong. I couldn't do research, find artifacts, construct, and buy materials for the project all by myself. My teammates actually helped me find more concrete info for the project that really got us the A for the
In life, we are often capable of much more than we ever know. Our bodies and minds will automatically choose the path of least résistance, but when we have the right amount of motivation and encouragement, we can surpass any roadblock. The Module Two introductory video discussed the 33%-33%-33% principle. Thirty-three percent of people will simply disagree with the on decisions being made. Another thirty-three percent will agree, and the last thirty-three percent will not care. In order to shift mindsets, create buy-in, and trust the decision-maker’s intentions, it is imperative that he or she is organized, thoughtful, and caring during the decision-making process. This case study presents a problem regarding lack of student growth and
In the beginning he was apprehensive. I honestly think he had a preconceived notion of me. I could tell because in the middle of the conversation he started talking about how people are all the same and that color doesn't matter it is about the inside. He made these statements randomly. I'm an open minded person and was accepting of his views. If I didn't agree I would kindly debate with him as to why I don't have the same perspective. My approach to him made him feel more comfortable. In conclusion, he loves classical music. Classical music helps him relax when he has a stressful day. He talked quit a bit. I did not have to say much for him to engage in the conversation. I realized that it was more of a one sided conversation than anything

Suzan, I would rather you write in your own words, using research only to support your own thoughts, insights and conclusions. Please review CSU Global APA guidance for assistance. A 15-20% similarity score is acceptable, 48% is too high. Work on organization, ensure proper APA format and including some of your own analysis to enhance your discussion and separate your thoughts and topics by paragraph and heading to allow better flow and ease of reading for your audience. The intent of critical thinking exercises is for you to demonstrate your knowledge of the topic and ability to make decisions, through the course readings and your own analysis. Analysis of the issue through your own words, with support from outside sources only as evidence
I asume this because I almost always end up getting hurt trying to attempt to do something that I know I can’t do. I am also this because I like working alone and it's hard for me to work in a group because I like to do school work or just any work by myself. If it's a project with a partner, I will let my partner do some work, then I will do some and we trade of back and forth. If I'm in a group, there is always that one person who thinks they are better than everyone else and they will tell everyone what to do. If I was ever a leader of a group, I would let the members decide what they will contribute to the objective that we are working on. I don’t like it when people go around telling others to do because some people just like to be curious and do there own thing. LIke me, I will experiment with different stuff to see if I like it or not. If you don’t like the thing that I am doing, it's ‘out the
