Critical Thinking Every individual use critical thinking in their personal and professional life. However, the steps of handling and outcome show how successful the problem-solving approach was. With the years of experience, I found critical thinking as a way of judging and responding the issue, and it comes with the foundation of knowledge and the experience. As per Walden University (2010), “it is led by objectivity and reason, rather than emotion” (Walden University, 2010, para. 1). All above strategies are to improve critical thinking of novice to expert level by practicing, sharing experience, giving feedback, and enhancing knowledge. Dr. Benner (2011) also talks about the similar approach to get the expert level. The connection between critical thinking, scholarship, and practice I believe that it is crucial for the nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills by attaining certifications, continuing education courses, and degree programs. It helps in promoting the advance nursing practice, professional development, mentorship and integration of knowledge in practice. Hence it leads to critical thinking in practice area. Moreover, nursing professional and scholars bring evidenced-Based practice by reviewing and analyzing research in the clinical setting to keep with the current scientific knowledge. It does not help the individual only but from the novice to the expert nurses. Highly trained and qualified nurses and scholars with sound knowledge and expertise can bring a positive change in practice areas.
