I did the Ming and Qing Dynasty because I found this more interesting than any other subject. Their Advancements during the their lifetime was very interesting! The Ming Dynasty was the first to happen, than it was the Qing Dynasty. These two Dynasties brought much history to our world. These Dynasties took place in China, in the 15th - 16th century. There were many new civilizations that were created during this time period, especially the world’s biggest wooden city The Forbidden City. In this time period there was new amazing advancements in Architecture and Literature. China is known for having the greatest architecture in the world because the enjoyed every moment of their hard beautiful work. China Had a really strong army that brought them a lot of success in their time period. China’s population was getting bigger by the day, they had much success in everything they did but they did have some economic problems just like any other …show more content…
They didn't want to have a lot of wars, so they tried and stay away from those kinds of political, economic problems and just worried mostly about themselves. They tried to Make themselves look better with their architecture and other amazing advancements they had. They had strong and powerful leaders that would bring them much success in battle or just economically.
The Qing Dynasty was also a very successful time period like the advancing technology but they started to have major issues that started to tear their economy down. One of the biggest things they did in this time period is they were the first to map the whole expanse of a river with the use of modern technology. The Qing was one of the last Dynasties there ever was in the world, they accomplished many new things with their new advancements. Towards the end of the Qing Dynasty everything started to fall apart, everyone started to dislike everything they were
The Chinese were able to learn from their mistakes from the past and turn them into positives in order to better improve their economy for the future. With the opened ports and foreigners free to visit China, the educated citizens class was increasing in numbers. Many of these people were not happy with the progress of the Qing Dynasty and started to form groups in order to help find alternatives to certain situations. By 1912 the last Chinese emperor stepped down and the order that had ruled over China for two thousand years had finally fallen. This was a new start for the China. The rebuilding of China was very difficult, but using what they had learned, China was able to modernize themselves in many aspects, including military, improve their economy, and overall developed themselves into a superior country.
China’s population was growing rapidly, almost doubling between 750 and 1100. Because of this huge population boom, paper money was established, and the trade industry grew. There were many advances that were made, such as technological improvements
Both the Tang and Song Dynasties had very successful economies. The Silk Roads were reopened and restored during the Tang Dynasty. These were essential trade routes that opened a network of
During 350 BC in eastern China was a waring time period and was a time of extreme chaos. 256 wars in a span of 900 years between 256 states that later solidified into 7 states in china during the Chou Dynasty. The Chou Dynasty would then collapse and give rise to the Han Dynasty which was a huge civilization governing over 60 million people. This was a major period of industrialization and capitalization in China. During this period forced labor was put into place to have workers actually do major projects such as the Great Wall and other different projects. The only exception we’re pregnant woman which would ultimately increase the populations dramatically. An advanced world trade network that connected with euro-asian and african
Classical Chinese Empires and the Roman Empire were massive Empires that both became some of the most well known Empires in the world. The Romans were set out to conquer the lands of Europe and take anyone out in their path. The Chinese Dynasties lasted for a 4,000 year span of many Emperors like the Zhou Dynasty, Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty. They both had a reason on why they lasted so long, Rome were very serious for their army because when you got to the age of 7 you were sent to an extensive army camp which you would stay until you are 18. China had their Innovation and trade. For example the Han Dynasty were lucky enough to use the silk roads which got them tons of silk to trade to other empires. The Qin Dynasty had some of the first modern roads so they can travel with ease.
The Han Dynasty lasted from 206 B.C. until 220 A.D., making them one of China’s longest lasting empires. Their power and reputation rivaled that of the Roman Empire, which was also around at the same time. With only a few moments when they had some difficulties, they lasted four centuries that went through the times of B.C. and through the A.D. times. The Han Dynasty was thought to be the golden age of the Chinese, with their main points of development being in politics, technology, and the arts. Every following Chinese dynasty looked to the Han dynasty as their role model.
The Qin Dynasty, being the first of its kind, paved the way for a huge empire than would control most of Asia. It introduced a lot that would increase conditions for the people, such as a standard script, coinage, as well as establishing one of the most important trade roots in history; the Silk Road. But it also left a legacy behind, a legacy that is still revealing truths and information about how the people of this time actually lived.
The most successful dynasty in China was the Yuan dynasty. The Yuan dynasty also known as the Mongols, ruled Ancient China from 1271 to 1368. They were so successful due to the fast paced slaughtering war method. They were also very successful because of the amount of land they conquered, the two weapons, the composite bow and horse riding that they invented and the silk road that they had control of. I will also counter three claims of the Yuan dynasty.
The Qin and Han dynasties changed many things regarding how China was governed. Like when Qin Shi Huang standardized the units of measurement, currency, and the width of roads to ease trade within his country, strengthening the unity between areas. Another change is the Han dynasty’s usage of education. They let all boys receive an education to a certain extent, however, if they wanted to further their education more they would have to travel to the capital. One of the several changes Qin Shi Huang changed how dictators controlled China in many ways how he distributed his land and power. Many of the changes he implemented were used by Chinese rulers for over 2000 years, these changes created a lasting effect on how China was ruled. The Qin
I believe that the Tang Dynasty was the most successful. This is because of many reasons. But before we delve into the reasons that China was a great Dynasty, we have to define what a great dynasty is. To me, success during a dynasty means having a strong government that has no corruption and having a good daily life. A strong government means having no corruption and having a balanced tax system.
China had everything that they needed in there little area that they had. They had the Yellow river that would flood that would deposit rich soil for the empires and dynasties to grow food in. Geographic Isolation made China very different because other early world civilizations always had many enemies. Also the Chinese people thought they they were in the middle of the world. WIth the addition of the Great wall that was build and all the trading posts that were set up such as Chang’an, Dunhuang and Turpan China thought they had no worries and they were the
Most importantly, the Chinese became the most powerful empire in the world at that time, due to Zheng He’s expeditions, just as they had hoped. They expanded the emerging trade networks of small kingdoms, and were trusted and seen as superior because they had built good relations with them. Zheng’s fleets brought many envoys back to China from distant lands to revel in
Many people argued that Empress Dowager Cixi accelerated the speed of the demise of the Qing dynasty. Cixi might be a blasting fuse but she was not accounted for the final fall of the dynasty. The actions Cixi took had profoundly changed the foundation of feudal China so as to push China forward into a modern stage. Although many historical data suggested that whatever Cixi had done were to consolidate her authority and personal status. But no matter what, the impact on the country was obvious. Cixi broke the previous traditions from Confucianism that had been lasted for centuries. Tensions between the Manchus and Han Chinese had been greatly improved, which made a great contribution to China for later unification. Under the reign of the Empress Dowager, the social structure had undergone a series of changes. Qing 's demise is doomed, this was resulted from issues that had stacked up from previous generations. Moreover, Cixi did her best to secure China’s status in the world in such a chaotic period in history. She made undeniable contributions to China.
Chinese Dynasties: 1. Shang: Also called Yin, dynasty that was China's earliest historically verifiable state 1766 B.C. to 1122 B.C. A. Reason's for Rise: Unlike the early accounts of history by the Chinese, there is archaeological evidence of the Shang, who built their cities in northern China around the eastern parts of the Yellow River. For this reason they are called the Yellow River civilization. They were a bronze age people; bronze-working seems to have entered China around 2000 BC (about one thousand years after its invention in Mesopotamia). B. Territorial Location & size at height of power (map): The Shang ruled the area from the North China Plain northward into present-day Shantung Province and westward to the tip of Honan
The 19th century had sparked a time period of bloody revolution, social and political reform, and both economic and financial problems for China. Though the cause of many of these problems could be rooted to internal conflict, foreign influence on Chinese ways proved to be disastrous. During the early 19th century the population was growing, the economy seemed stable and generally people seemed content with China’s economic progress. However these feelings of success would soon end as overpopulation would cause widespread poverty and famine. At that point in time China’s rulers had been Manchu; the Qing dynasty had been in rule but even its
