Through life you are always presented with a situation, now not always are those situations fair. There will be times when you are presented with an easy situation to deal with, but that isn’t always the case. Whenever we are put into a situation that we deem to be unfair, everyone has their own way of dealing with it. In the novel the Chrysalides, the Waknuk society has rules you must obey. There are many situations that are unfair, to live a peaceful live you must obey the rules and fit God’s description of man. When God created man he envisioned them with, two legs and two feet, and on each foot you are to have five toes. You are to have two arms and two hands, on each hand you are to have four fingers and one thumb. When God created woman
Fair does not always mean equal. Fair and equal are not the same this can be illustrated in the similarities and differences between Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut and Martin Luther King Jr's “I Have a Dream speech.”
What will happen in the future? In The Chrysalids, John Wyndham incorporates various science fiction elements into the novel to prove that the work is a science fiction production. In the novel, there are different political and social systems. Additionally, various forms of mutations are evident. Furthermore, many specifics show that the society is dystopian in The Chrysalids. Based on various details from the book, it is obvious that The Chrysalids is a science fiction novel that warns humans on the consequences of nuclear war.

As Harriet Braiker once said: “Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing.” There are many people that always seek for being perfect, but what does that leads to? In Waknuk society, “perfection” just led to destruction. Joseph Strorm, the father of the main character David Strorm and the leader of this society, started forgetting about the values he should have had and also he was forgetting about the love he needed to give to his family. In addition, God sent Tribulation because He wanted society to become better than what they were being. The citizens in Waknuk were seeking to look more like God, according to the people from the Fringes, which were people who were sent to another place because they

The society of Waknuk is taught to follow the laws of God and the ’Definition of Man’ for they fear the punishment that they will receive if they do not so. This fear has blinded the people of Waknuk, so much so that they cannot differentiate between right and wrong, devotion and discrimination.
In “Just Lather, That’s All”, as well as “The Lottery” we can view unfairness from a particular person’s perspective.
The people of Waknuk’s greatest fear, Tribulation, was originally the result of nuclear war. It is obvious that Tribulation was nuclear radiation because of the way that the landscape was affected, as with the Badlands and especially the Black Coasts: a place where almost nothing grows and those who approach it immediately fall ill and usually die. Furthermore, the frequency of Mutations—especially in the Fringes, where they are not curd— points to nuclear radiation, the one of the most common exogenous causes of random genetic mutation. Wyndham uses dialogue and mythology about “the Old People” as well as the novel’s setting to comment on the behavior of the people of his time. The Chrysalids was published in 1955, ten years after the bombing
Isolation is seen everywhere and it generally pushes the human conscience to extremes. As shown in The Chrysalids novel and The Outsiders movie, isolation reveals that human beings can be very strict and judgmental towards certain social groups; however, in the future, it can lead to constant war and the extinction of mankind. As depicted in The Chrysalids by John Wyndam, Waknuk is a community brainwashed by tribulation that causes the citizens to believe that being normal is the main focus in life. Similarly, in The Outsiders, people that come from a lower economic status were isolated and they were not accepted. Both communities becomes an unfriendly environment totally narrow-minded of differences, which causes judgment, discrimination,
Waknuk is David’s hometown in the story “The Chrysalids”. The village is located in central Labrador. It is a small agricultural community which lies in the west of Labrador. They have a maritime climate, being remotely tropical, without extreme heat. There tend to be a vast amount of forest cover with many fields making up most of the landscape. The people of Newf and Labrador are the only humans who retained the pre-Tribulation phenotype. The only other known civilizations are vague and coloured by religious dogma. The Theocracy run government follows the Bible and the Repentances as a means of guidelines. Run off of the fear of God Himself, the people survive by keeping their race in the True Image. They do this by having inspectors which
Why is working effectively together important? According to the novel, The Chrysalids, by John Wyndham, working together effectively allows a group of individuals to achieve their goals and prevent danger for others. In fact, a group of individuals must be able to understand others who make dangerous decisions, and give others realistic solutions that would control other’s actions and prevent their death. Furthermore, when a group of individuals collaborate with one another, it allows them to defeat and avoid being caught by their enemy. Overall, members of a society must effectively work together in order to avoid chaos.
He never questions if it is fair but instead gives up. Nothing will change if everybody accepts their fate. Another example of this takes place after Kathy and Tommy’s visit to Madame’s house. They were hopeful they would be able to have a future together but are denied. Kathy says, “Nothing seemed to change much in the week or so after that trip”(276 Ishiguro).

Based on technique of fairness or justice approach by Greek philosopher Aristotle “equal should be treated equally and unequal’s unequally".According to author, important work on values and ethics that held the justice and morality. Life can be considered to be unfair. There are rich people and poor people. There are the lucky and the unlucky ones. There are the dead and there are the alive. “The Garden Party” by Katherine Mansfield talks about class distinction and the meaning of life.
