Career assessments are very beneficial when an individual is trying to determine what career path they may be wanting to take. Sometimes new information will become apparent and other times information that is already known to that individual will just be simply solidified. It is important to answer the questions as accurately to oneself as possible. My personal results only reassured me of what I already knew. Though I am not completely sure which career path I will take, I know for a fact I am very artistic and will most likely end up somewhere that allows me to be creative. I love creativity in every form. While I did know this about myself, it was interesting to learn that I was also “enterprising.” Enterprising merely mean persuading
Considering the fact that I am not looking for a job in the St. Louis area I did not think the Career Fair would be very beneficial to me. However, I decided to take a chance and get all I could out of the fair and I honest believe I got more out of it than I expected. My only regret was that Scheffel Boyle was not there, because they are my top choice for where I want to start my career once I graduate with my MSA and I really wanted to talk to them.
A global manager is associated with success as an international executive. Dimensions included in this are: general intelligence, business knowledge, interpersonal skills, commitment, courage, cross-cultural competencies, and the ability to learn from experience. My potential for success as a global manager would be on the cusp of being relatively high. In today’s global economy, being a manager often means being a global manager. But, unfortunately, not all managers are able to transfer their skills smoothly from domestic environments to global ones. I believe that I have the ability to accomplish this on a consistent basis.
For this response paper I took The Princeton Review Career Quiz. The purpose of this assessment is to help individual see what career option is the best fit. Even though this assessment does not lead us to our jackpot career it gives us an idea in the path we may end up by evaluating our interest and personality. I remember taking this assessment when I was in high school and almost a decade year later I’m doing another one in m graduate year. Overall, I am excited re-taking this assessment to visualize whether or not I’m moving into the right direction based on this assessment.
When I answered the questions on career cruising I found that my results were inaccurate as to the career I am interested in. The first career was mechanical engineer. Environmental engineer is the second on list. The career that I am actually interested in Software development and Computer science I did not get the results I was looking for in my career assessment. I will still look for a career in information technology when I enter the workforce but for now I will look into the jobs the field has to offer. I want to become a software developer and work for good software company, I hope it works out that way in the end. I disagree with the survey results because I do not want to become a engineer in those fields, I feel like being an engineer will be to heavy of a weight on my shoulders. Environmental engineer would not fit me because I am not a environmental type of person.
I believe that this assessment is a valuable tool in the field of career counseling because it helps the counselors to have more information about the students and their overall wellbeing. By discussing each element counselors can identify the reasons for their struggles as they share their stories. It can help counselors to provide resources and information to improve their overall wellbeing especially with the career wellbeing. With this information, career counselors can refer them to different departments if more help is
In order for me to complete this career assessment paper, I initially took an Interest Inventory survey. Upon completing this process, it revealed that my personality profile score was (I, C, A). These three letters represented my strengths and interests in determining which career field would best suit me.
The results from assessment weren’t surprising to me, as I ranked very high in conventional, Enterprising and Social categories. There were several careers listed in the job zone that appealed to me such as Human Resources Specialist, A Meeting, Convention and Event Planner, Compensation and Benefits Manager and Social &Human Service Assistant. All of these careers stem from organization and analytical thinking characteristics and follow guidelines
After doing the personality tests on Indiana Career Explorer, the tests gave me a couple of examples of fields I would be successful in, it told me what values may be important to me in a workplace environment. I feel these assessments were spot on and I have more confidence in my ability to be successful in my career choice.

First, I agree with this career assessment because it says that I’m a conventional person. The test describes me as a typical and ordinary and follower of accepted standards of behavior or taste, which is correct. I like to do thing as easy as possible, but also well done. So by following rules I’m going to be a successful person. Also the results showed me that I can be a good leader.
Questions, tests, and psyche evaluations can't let you know what your ideal profession might be, yet they can help you recognize what's paramount to you in a career choice, what you appreciate doing, and where you outperform.
For this assignment, I’ve been told to take several assessments which allowed me to get a better idea of my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats which may help or hurt me in the future. It allowed me to see what jobs that might fit me best such as a Labor Relations Specialist or Curriculum and Assessment Director.
Career assessments provide the counselor will information to help guide the client in deciding on what career that they would enjoy. This information would give the client an idea what line of work that they would enjoy being in. The client would find the job as a rewarding step, and what they would be interested in doing. It would be important to put assessments that are multicultural. When reviewing this assessment, this assessment did examine the gender components in Strong Interest Profile (Grutter & and Hammer, 2012). It would be important that the counselor would give assessments that are suitable for any culture. When deciding if an assessment is multicultural, the counselor would need to make sure that an assessment would not show any bias or show any cultural prejudice (Osborn, 2012). If the assessment does not mention if the assessment is multicultural, it would be important to
The counselor would begin by presenting a copy of the report to Jane so she may follow along with as it is presented. The counselor would carefully explain each section and what the results are stating. For example, the General Occupational Themes (GOTs) measures an individuals work personality (Grutter & Hammer, 2012). In Jane’s situation her strengths lie in social and artistic themes. Therefore, she enjoys interpersonal roles along with art and culture (Grutter & Hammer, 2012). Osborn (2012) explains that career assessments are used to help individuals realize and maximize their true career potential.
Taking the personality test I was nervous to see what my results would be. I have taken many challenges like this before, ever since I was in middle school until now. My results came back pretty similar to the results and careers I’m interested in. The specific traits behind a career for an
