Is Beauty The Beast? I think cosmetology is one of the most fun things I have ever heard of. To be able and know how to do hair, nails, skin and all that. It is absolutely fun. Also, knowing I am good at almost all of it, makes it all better for me. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to grow up and do something so fun… then one day I realized I could be a cosmetologists! There are so many things that are really interesting about it. Let's get into it, shall we.

I have about two more years left of High School and after that I am going to Grayson College. I absolutely can not wait. I will be able to walk around and get to know everyone there and getting to learn a lot more about cosmetology than i already do. It will be like a second home for me. Some benefits of being an esthetician are being able to work with people, for me, this is a big part of the job. I want to be able to listen to people talk about their day and what’s going on in their life while also helping their skin or whatever service they are meeting me for. You also have a wide variety of job options. Some people are more interested in the medical side of esthetics, this will require more training but also have more opportunities to make more money. You will have a flexible schedule because you pretty much make your own schedule. You can choose whether you want to work mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Cosmetology is the general work on others hair and skin. The area of cosmetology I am going for is hair. I find working on other people’s hair fun and interesting. In order to become a cosmetologist, I will have to take certain steps. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, I must graduate from a state-licensed barber or cosmetology school. The strong smell in the air. The sound of a air filter. The wild and calm colors of nail polish you see on the tables and shelves. The feeling of helping a girl feel like she’s a queen. The passion to do good and help a girl get stuff off of her shoulder and give advice. These are the reasons I choose to be a Nail Technician. Currently I am a senior in high school, in the Nail-Tech program. Through this program, that I found my love for doing nails and helping people. Being a Nail Technician suits my ESFP personality, such as love being around people, being a practical worker and being easy to communicate with.
Dental hygiene has had a significant impact on my life since I was a child. While most children would absolutely dread going to have their teeth cleaned, I was the kid always eager and ready to get to the dentist office. Throughout my journey of traveling through life, I have had several experiences that just called to me saying dental hygiene is definitely the career for me. Shadowing my own dental hygienists and having the privilege to be hands on and work with them was amazing. I enjoyed every minute from simply going over X-Rays to getting to know the patients personally.
Many people like to do hands on things, for example a nail technician. When you like to work with people and able to make them feel better about themselves. Many people can walk into your store feeling down, well you as the nail technician can change that if they like the way you did the job and then also like it. At the end you are going to make your customer satisfied and you are going to also feel satisfied knowing that you did your job the best you could. Being a hairstylist, it is all about the skills: The artistic skills, the communication skills, also, the skill to be patient and respectful. Some people have a difficult time trying to obtain all of these skills. Hairstylists have a tough job. No one really understands what the stylist goes through. The pressure to get things right and to make the client happy is a complicated situation.
