Today I spent my first day of observation in the study room of my dorm. This room has a deep blue focal wall, with three large windows. The room contains a wooden table with seven hardback chairs. The room also has a couch, two lounge chairs, a recycling bin, and a trash can. The day is Monday and I was in this room from 7:18 pm and to 10:01 pm. I was alone in this room for a majority of my time there. This room seems to have all of the materials necessary for studying besides a whiteboard. The room has widows and plexiglass when combined with the paint and furniture creates, in my opinion, an inviting atmosphere. About half of my time in the room was spent by myself. This parallels to the fact that oftentimes when I walk by the study room,
For my home visit, I was able to observe a boy who was almost 2 years old. His name was Liam, and he was born with what is called, upside down guts. He suffered from low blood sugar seizures as well at a very young age. Because of these seizures, he had a feeding tube in all day. His sensory skills are not at his age level because he never had to feel the texture of foods. He is currently doing much better but is very fussy. When I went with the service provider, a speech pathologist also came along. This was his day to be evaluated for his speech. The service providers did not bring any toys with them but used toys at the home. While I observed they wanted him to place a ball into a hole of his toy. The speech service provider would put the ball in his hands, take the ball away, give him a paper that had a picture of a ball and the word on its.
I stood holding my lunch tray as I surveyed the lunch tables. As I saw it, there were three groups: The Boys, The Wannabes, and The Posse.
While working at inbound end of line, I/A Boateng did not display any suspicious behavior, but he may have stolen an energy drink from the bistro in the b-building. While reviewing camera B-building.breakroom.2 at 10:35:02 AM, I/A Boateng appears to grab a sandwich from the bistro. Then, he goes to the kiosk, scans the item, cancels the order, and put the sandwich back. After at 10:35:47 AM, he goes back to one of the beverage cooler and grabs an energy drink. At this time, he stood at the kiosk for about 2 mins, then walked over to what appeared to be his bag, grabs something out of the bag, and proceeds to attempt to check his item out. Unfortunately, using camera B-building.Breakroom.3 at 10:37:57 AM, I was not able to see if he
Kathleen participated in a variety of activities for the month of July. Kathleen volunteered in Meals on Wheels Suffolk (MOW), North Merrick, and can return. Kathleen also partakes in other activities as following; The Dollar Tree, Party City, and math on go. Attached is the copy of the activity schedule. I called a roofer that installed the shingles for a house we are building in Cypress. We agreed on a set price regarding his pay. In order for us to process his payment I asked the roofer for his information, and he sent it through phone text message.
I chose to do my observation at the retail store where I am employed. I work with women that are a variety of age, race, and socioeconomic status. We are all very different, but must cooperate effectively. I chose to observe two older women that are in the same department as me. I work 20 hours a week with these women doing the same job, yet we are all in completely different stages of development. My observation is from a specific weekend where I was with two women for over 16 hours in two days. Working retail can be very stressful, so I was able to see them in tense situations, and I was able to see them in a more relaxed state when we were not busy. I’ll refer to these women as Jane and Emily for their privacy. Jane is 67 years old and
The economic characteristics that appeared for my home address were accurate compared to my observations. The population of people 16 years and older was divide somewhat equally between those who were in the labor force and who were not in the labor force which I expected it to be. At first, I didn’t understand the difference between people who were unemployed and people who were not in the labor force but as I further researched people who were not in the labor force are students and people who are retired. I found the percent of unemployment high which I also expected because of where I live in the Bronx. These numbers show how important public transportation is in the city, almost everyone takes the train and buses and sometime people with
At my workplace, I was observing a customer fast pacing toward the front entrance of the restaurant. I noticed that he stopped halfway before the entrance and frantically patting around his pockets and reaching into his jacket pocket to check for something. It seems as though he forgets his wallet or keys in the car, because he turned around and started pacing around the corner toward the parking lot. I think he forget his wallet in the car as he rushed to meet his companions in the restaurant.
On November 24, 2016, Officer LESSANE responded to the incident location in reference to assisting removing individuals from the business due to business closing down for the night. Upon my arrival, I could hear loud talking and screaming coming from the back of the business. Officer LESSANE and Sgt. GOETHIE walked around the business to make contact with the subjects. Upon walking around the business, I observed a large crowd of individuals that appeared as if they were attempting to cease a altercation. Officers then attempted to cleared the area in which I was informed by an individual (ANNA ALTOBELLI) that she was assaulted during the process of breaking up a physical altercation.
Inside, the school smelled smartly of varnish and wood smoke from the potbellied stove. On gloomy days, not unknown in upstate New York in this region south of Lake Ontario and east of Lake Erie, the windows emitted a vague, gauzy light, not much reinforced by ceiling lights. We squinted at the blackboard, that seemed far away since it was on a small platform, where Mrs. Dietz's desk was also positioned, at the front, left of the room. We sat in rows of seats, smallest at the front, largest at the rear, attached at their bases by metal runners, like a toboggan; the wood of these desks seemed beautiful to me, smooth and of the red-burnished hue of horse chestnuts. The floor was bare wooden planks. An American flag hung limply at the far left
On Sunday 10/15/17 at 1300 hours I was dispatched to a found property report at 6401 Elizabeth Ave SE in the City of Auburn, Pierce County, WA. Dispatch advised the reporting person, Linda Helm, said she found a backpack and laptop computer, which were next to a garbage can at the park across the street from her residence.
I was surprising to see a variety of organizations and clubs. I think over 50 organizations set up the stands to talk about their organizations. Despite hot weather, there were a lot of students out on Greene Street. People were handing out the posters, stickers, and sweet treats. The stands were decorated with club banners and information boards to attract new members. Each booth turned on different music. The club members were busy interacting with the students. They helped students to discover different choices for getting involved on the campus. There were also some performers danced on the street. The fair give the students a picture of what to expect around the campus and what the clubs have to offer. I didn’t visit all the stands since
"You have so much stuff," I say incredulously as I looked around his bedroom. He had a full sized bed in the center of his room that had gray sheets and tons of white fluffy pillows. He had a thick dark gray comforter that was silky smooth to the touch and I didn't fail to sprawl myself on his bed and mess up his perfectly made bed that surprised me the most when he brought me in here to show me his room. I didn't even make my own bed ever. I couldn't resist messing it up. His bedroom walls were painted a navy blue which contrasted nicely with his sheets.
Everyone likes to have a place they can go to, and that is their safe place. Mine may not be the prettiest, coolest, or most perfect by any means. I go here when I need a break from my life and just relax. It frees me from all the chaos in my life, and I can just let go of things that are worrying me, or things I don’t need in my life. My safe place is my room, my go to friend when I need one, I can always rely on my lovely room.
My classroom was an office off the kitchen and living room. I sat in an office chair at a wooden table with white legs. I would watch DVDs on my computer while my mother and my brother where in the dining room working on my brothers school work. On the DVDs teachers from Abeka Academy would teach the curriculum to students in his classroom. I watched the students ask question and answer questions. During the math classes, I would see students work problems on the board as I worked them at home. I felt as though I was a part of a classroom, but did not know anyone I was in class with personally. I did not have lasting relationships with classmates or have to interact with classmates to accomplish projects. My actual classroom was quite lonely. Class was quiet with unique interruptions. In my classroom, the interruptions consisted of my mother or brother coming into the room to ask questions or look for materials. I did not have a set time to relieve myself; therefore, I did not experience the denial of desire in that way. Waiting for materials or having to share materials was
