There I was in a foreign land, lodged in the seats of the cramped van as I pondered thoughts of my future. I was an eighth grader about to enter the arduous experience and intimidating environment of high school. I perceived visions of me struggling through the drudgery of work as well as events where I was given laudations for my witty ideas and prestigious accomplishments. Mixed emotions drowned my brain into a swamp of careless stress, but these were flushed as the abrupt stop of the car brought me out of my daydream. That day was a day I would remember forever, but I was just a child, unknown about what I was going to see. Hopping out of the car, my feet were met with the boiling surface of the jagged pavement, and I dove back into …show more content…
The ground was frosted with the elegant silver sand which oozed between my toes for every step I took. Every grain of the glossy particles tickled my feet as I immediately launched it backwards while progressing through my walk. The immense amber sunlight punctured my eyes forcing me to briefly avert to pull out my sunglasses. I slowly placed the stiff ends of the glasses above my ear until I observed my surroundings drop a level of brightness. I made out the glossy, tall glass buildings and skyscrapers created a mountain range across the thin horizon. A gust of wind hurled a storm of sand across practically into outer space, causing it to be even harder to identify the building shapes. The beryl sea went through metamorphosis and transformed into a gorgeous light blue shade for every time the sun struck it. The sea whispered to the seagulls and pigeons who constantly screeched as they scanned the territory in search of the smallest item they can call eatable. With hunger in their stomachs, they continued to screech while they pinched one another with their golden beaks over a simple stale, moldy french fry. A heard the chair calling for me since my body was worn out from the long drive, so I threw myself onto the firm plastic chair to rest. Almost like be trapped in a pile of gelatin, I slowly shut my eyes, and was able to clear the swamping of my brain to become the
A few miles northeast of Bath ME, down the stretch of route 1, to the right, you come to a dusty road covered in rocks and leaves. The rocky dirt road comes to a stop were a small, rough path takes you through the peach colored brush to a hot sandy beach. The beach glimmers in the sunshine turning the grainy sand into a golden blanket. The beach winds around westward clifts for four miles. Towards the east, segmented by a river emptying its contents, the beach gradually plunges down into the chilly Atlantic ocean, where rushing water from the river clashes with the salt water. The waves roll and crash on in like the sound of African drums, on rhythm that never stops. On the horizon where the water meets with the sky an island sits with a lighthouse perched on the land looking out for dangers that lurk. The sky continues on to the animated clouds, carrying one's eyes up to the heavens.
My friends and I had taken a weekend trip to Orange Beach. We decided to stay in a condo for the entire weekend. The day that we were going to Orange Beach my friend Hasan was graduating from Madison Central High School in 2015, and he was getting his parents to drive him to Orange Beach so that he could hang out with us for the weekend. We did multiple events such as driving down to Orange Beach and back home, going to the beach, biking, waiting for dinner, living in a condo, and celebrating a friend graduating High School. The events on this trip had many fun and horrific event happen in them. This may be a reason why a person does not take a high school graduate.
"So there you have it…" Arnold took deep breath as he finally finished his story. He leaned back against his chair and waiting for Gerald reaction.
Nowadays, more and more parents are concerned about child's health problems. A report mentions that there are increasing numbers of children spend amount of time viewing electronic media on television, computer, tablet and phone screens and also there is an increasing rates of childhood obesity in Australia. Due to this message, Zan Smith publishes an article named ‘Beach Lessons’ in Child Monthly magazine, in an attempt to raise awareness of spending children’s time comfortable and meaningful. Utilizing a friendly yet concerned tone, she contends that children spend too much time on viewing electronic media. She attempts to persuade her target audience of parents to encourage their child(ren) go to play outdoor activities or set off for
The beach has sandy shores, and salty warm water. It has year round-warmth and beautiful Florida sky’s. There are palm trees around the area blowing in the slight wind. The wind creates a slight tingling throughout your body. I can hear children laughing all around me as they have a great time with their family. People of all varieties surround you, young to old all enjoying the different things the sandy shores have to offer, some there for peacefulness, others there for vacation. The water is a bright blue today almost as blue as the sky, the sun shining on it making the water sparkle. There's a warning sensation that can change your mood in a flash. It is very humid which makes you want to dive in, the water is shallow but grows deeper . The people around you create a feeling of joyfulness like no other. The sand is warm covered with mulicolor seashells some broken into pieces. You can hear the seagulls snapping at you and taking leftover food and quickly flying away.
Almost 2,000 miles away from home, I lay on the sand an hour boat ride away from the nearest town with the taste of peanut butter and jelly sandwich still lingering. Made almost 6 hours before, the jelly had seeped most of the way through the white bread, leaving a soggy replica of the original sandwich. It had traveled next to me for hours, eventually making it to the island of Culebreta, PR. The warmth and time seemed to have amplified the flavors, the grape jelly almost cloyingly sweet. The taste added to the heaviness of the air, which hadn’t been disturbed with a breeze for hours.
‘Wow, impressive.’ Charlotte replied lost in thought. Intelligent, gorgeous, dark blond hair a little messy, tanned skin. Hazel eyes she could get lost in forever. His relaxed jeans hung off his waist, his pale yellow surf tee highlighted his toned athletic physique concealed beneath, irresistible. ‘Are you a surfer?’ ‘Me, no, I don’t like the beach. I dressed with the theme tonight. I’m guessing you love the beach with that gorgeous tan of yours.’ ‘Me?
When Charlie asked me to go out diving with her, I just had to say yes. I mean, the beach is a great spot on a busy day, and I knew she had a few more spots out on the water. She’d said once that she found her necklaces underwater, and how she sometimes got tangled up in nets or shot at by jealous corporate scrap-pickers.
When you observe people at the beach, does not it resemble an anthill? The sandy beach, on a tropical island, is one of the most places that native people visit in their spare time, especially in summer season. Besides, people from gelid countries prefer to visit it in the winter season to escape from the harsh cold. The sandy beaches have three fundamental parts; there people enjoying the day. These components are the sandy part with umbrellas and sand area to play, the warm tropical sea, and the coastal dune where vegetation is growing, and people take on the shade. On the other hand, I always have felt an immense passion for the sea. For that, I appreciate spending time at the beach, having a good time and observing what people are doing there. I notice that everybody is happy. A lot of people are usually in the different parts of the beach doing amusement activities and shifting from one part to another through the day. Describing which activities people do in each part of the beach, can be an exciting task because you will understand exactly how people relax.
Beau·ti·ful; byo͞odəfəl/adjective -pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically. The word beautiful. The majority of people in this generation only think objects or people fulfill this word. They don't contemplate the one thing with the most beauty, the beach. When most hear the word ‘beach’, they see it as a landform alongside water or someplace to hang out at. No one digs a hole in their mind to get as deep as they can into thought. When you truly consider what a beach really is, the outcome is beautiful.
The ten story building catches my eye, I know we are finally there after the twelve hour car drive we just took. The sun peeks over the roof, like a little boy peeking over the counter in a candy store. I see the dark blue ocean behind the building we will be staying in for the next week. As we unpack our luggage from our white Traverse, there are many conversations of what fun we will be doing this week. I am beaming from ear to ear to be in Florida with my family.
With a great vigor, humanity delights in escaping reality, even if only for a short time. Some choose to play sports, some watch TV, and others still choose to spend their time reading. Withdrawal from reality links all hobbies together. Likewise, I like to achieve this liberation by sailing. Imagine the wind gusting across your body, the smell of the strong scent of water in your nostrils, and the thrill of the breeze thrusting your boat along. Personally, I was astounded when I discovered this microcosm twenty minutes away in the middle of the scorching desert.
It was supposed to be an average day at Virginia Beach with my step-sister Cheyenne and her mom Michelle. I was only seven at the time, so my attention span was all over the place especially since this was my first actual vacation to the beach. We arrived at the beach around noon and decided to check into the hotel, drop off our belongings, get into our bathing suits, and walk to the beach. I was anxious to jump into the cold ocean water. As we were walking down the boardwalk, I had to check out the scenery. I remember the sky was a deep blue that blended into the ocean's horizon. As we walked the boardwalk, we came upon a Neptune Statue. The closer we got all I could do was stare in awe at this large blue and green figure. After I took my picture beside Neptune, we continued to walk until we got to the entrance of the beach. I could smell the ocean salt in the air, and hear the big waves crashing into the shore. I took off my sandals, and my feet hit the sand which burned the bottoms of my feet. Once we picked a spot on the beach to lay our stuff down, my step sister and I raced down the ocean.
It was the inception of my freshman year at Monta Vista High School. On the first day, I had a multitude of emotions, from feelings of elation to anxiety. After the exciting seven-hour first day had concluded, I stood near the pick-up area, waiting anxiously to tell my mother how the day had gone. She was on her way from picking up my sister, who had finished her first day of seventh grade at Lawson Middle School. Being a workaholic, my father had absolutely no time for doing even the most minute tasks such as picking me up, unless he was really required to. After waiting on a bench aimlessly for nearly a half-an-hour, I hopped into the car almost instantaneously, for I feared that I would have been torched by the sun’s UV rays if I had waited for another next five minutes like an already burnt fish stick frying on the sidewalk.
Big white and blue sail boat across the salty water traveling east of the shoreline. Sun bouncing off the water and reflected on the hotel windows. Waves crashing up on shore while feet buried in the white, wet, hot sand. Crabs crawling in the grains of sand chomping on the tips of toes. Wood cracking as millions of people walk across it to reach the beach. Little boy complains to his mom about carrying all the beach chairs and buckets out to their tent on the beach. Most everyone has somewhere they go to escape reality. The beach is great therapy to regain self-awareness, release stress that is causing trouble, and erase life obligations at the moment.
