Everybody points at me To the BMW, diamonds on my hands They say there goes a successful man He's got it all A beautiful woman on his arm He's a self-made man But the truth they don't see Is you are the story behind me You are my shade tree When there are no trees You are my rock Beneath the quicksand You are the woman Who makes me who I am You are the life force That drives this man The 2016 campaign for the presidency has turned this nation into a swarming hive of publicity seekers, doomsday enthusiasts, and impetuous and reckless lunatics stirring the pot of chaos. Rarely a day goes by without someone new jumping on the lunacy bandwagon so shamelessly driven by both political parties. However, the madness goes far beyond politics. As …show more content…
He said her statement was dehumanizing to the black community, and it was a blatant racist attempt to pander to the black voter! Such a statement is a perfect example of the reckless and delusional thinking that is tearing America apart. It is not uncommon for people, especially Southerners, to carry a small bottle of hot sauce in a purse or jacket pocket when they travel. That doesn't make them a bigot or a racist nor does it mean they are sucking up to black people or anyone else. Hillary Clinton is definitely not above pandering, but calling her hot sauce comment such is nothing more than making a mountain out of a …show more content…
If God has abandoned America, which is doubtful, it is because he is embarrassed at our lack of common sense and lack of regard for our neighbor. People point to the lack of prayer in schools, lack of attention to the Bible, and sinful lifestyles as the reasons for America’s decline when the sad truth is this country’s problems lie in the hearts of the American people. God has not abandoned America! The people, due to reckless disregard for the American pursuit of liberty and happiness for all people as well as their neglect of the Biblical commandment to love their neighbor, have abandoned America. As a nation, Americans no longer embrace diversity as a virtue in their politics, in their society, or in their personal lives, which means they have abandoned what made America great. As a consequence of the indifference to liberty for all and love of neighbor, the nation stands helpless in the shadows of mountains built from
With the presidential election coming to a close, the campaigns of Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump are doing their best to attract voters now more than ever. The question is, who will be more successful? When analyzed in detail the Hilary Clinton campaign is appealing to their targeted audience in a way that makes her campaign more successful.
As the next election is soon to approaching I have noticed that the presidential nominees are no more than a joke to the other people that have served this great country as the presidents of the united states.
Do teachers have a right to free speech in the workplace and can comments on personal beliefs and views be grounds for dismissal? In a fictional situation, teacher Ann Griffin is dismissed from her position as a tenured teacher after a conversation she had involving the Principal and Vice Principal in which she made the comment that she “hated all black folks.” Ann Griffin was teaching at a predominantly African-American school and after this heated conversation, the Principal Fred Watts recommended Griffin’s dismissal based on doubting her ability to treat students fairly and questioning her judgment and competency as a teacher. Was the Principal justified in dismissing Ms. Griffin? Should Ms. Griffin’s speech be protected as a First Amendment right? What precedence can be found both supporting Ms. Griffin’s dismissal and also to support her continued employment?
Reportedly, Melanie Thornburg, a South Carolina Sheriff Captain, is in the hot seat after wearing blackface with a Bob Marley Halloween costume. Melanie Thornburg claims that, "I didn't do it out of lack of respect, and I express regret to anyone that took offense. I wouldn't have ever tried to taunt anyone."
Sanders started off by offering plenty of nice words for Clinton, telling the audience he likes and respects her. Then, less than a minute later, he unloaded numerous attacks on the former secretary of state. He responded to Clinton's argument that her broad experience makes her qualified for the presidency in a way a one-note candidate like Sanders never could be, leaning again and again on one word: Iraq. As in: She was for the war in 2002; he was against it. Sanders turned his best Clinton punches into a huge combination, hitting her on topics like Wall Street, free trade,
Why not get what America’s been waiting for? There are seven candidates and only one can give America what it needs. Vote for Sanders to help give America what it deserves. Bernie Sanders should be president because he wants to provide free tuition for all public colleges. He also wants to provide health care to all Americans and raise the minimum wage for the lower and middle class.
According to dosomething.org around 1,836 people died from Hurricane Katrina. From the research I did I think we should evacuate Gavelston because my research says that Rita will be a Category 5 hurricane and so was Katrina and she killed that many people. Other hurricanes have also created much damage in the past and we don’t want people getting stuck and hurt from this. Although people think that isn’t that bad and we can stay in our homes I think we should evacuate.
I have decided to vote for Hillary Clinton. I have reached this opinion because I agree in the majority of her beliefs. One example is Hillary’s belief in Obama Care. I agree with Mrs. Clinton because my mother works in the medical field and a significant amount of the people that she helps can’t afford their insurance or don’t have any. Thanks to Obama Care thousand of people are now covered by Obama Care. Hillary also believes that schools should be a “Gun-Free Zone,” I also believe that schools should be free of a guns. I think that guns bring fear and students would not be able to concentrate, not to mention they are incredibly dangerous. Another opinion Hillary and I share is women should be allowed to serve in military combat positions.
In the novel Antonia was put to the test a lot but she still held her same values through the book. Antonia was very strong willed, when she was faced with deaths she would be sad but she would always end up finding her way back to happiness. Antonia didn't live an easy life as Jim did, she had to worry about her family being warm during the winter and if there were enough food portions to last. Antonia and Jim often argued because Jim didn't like the way her family did things and the way Antonia stuck up for them. Although Jim and Antonia had their arguments, they were still best friends and they made each other feel safe. When Mr.Shimerda ask Jim to teach Antonia English it began a whole new friendship, they would run around together all
There are many reasons why I think Hillary should be president of the United States. One reason Hillary should have been president is that she has political experience and has always been for the people unlike Trump who has always been doing things for himself and has no political experience. First of all Donald Trump says many terrible things to women like the tape that he said because he's famous he can grab women by the pu***, he called them fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals, also banning muslim from entering america, extreme vetting, building a wall between us and mexico and stop and frisk which targets minority. She said superpredator and then apologies. How is that equal in anyway. Now people always try and get her on her emails, even though i agree she was stupid for deleting them, they had 9 investigations and still found nothing bad, also how did nobody notice that trump was going to court for raping a 13 year old. Then there's benghazi which is where they decided not to send troops to benghazi because the special troops said you can't go in while there's attacks and there using that to attack hillary just because she was secretary of state at the
I feel that at this point in the presidential election process, the argument for Hillary Clinton is pretty simple and can be summed up as “the stakes are simply just too high.” However, I understand that many people feel differently about this issue. Throughout the primary election process, I know a lot of people have felt as though they must choose between the lesser of two evils. This sentiment has caused some to vote for a third party, and some to abstain from choosing a presidential candidate entirely. While I understand that this election has been trying, and that these feelings of disappointment are very real for several Americans, I hold the belief that the stakes are simply just too high to abstain from the vote. In this paper, I will attempt to demonstrate just how qualified Hillary Clinton is to be the President of the United States of America. She has 30 years of experience in government, and supports positions on issues that I feel all Americans should care about. These issues include children’s access to health care, education, and her economic plan. Foreign affairs are also increasingly important, and income inequality has been an issue for years. I hope to weigh the issues Hillary Clinton plans to take on if she is elected president against Donald Trump as a candidate. The two have vastly different experiences and qualifications, but as we have all likely noticed, they also have vastly different characters. I hope I can make a case for why you should vote for
For months the Hillary Clinton campaign tried to pass her coughing fits, or her seemingly momentary zombie like trances off as some vast right wing, Alt-right conspiracy.
During the election we had seen many sides of Hillary and her crazy comments, but have we seen the real side of Hillary Clinton? The truth is Hillary has spent over 10 years in a mental institution when she got out of college. Hillary would have mental breakdowns and would get very violent. Hillary has been seen talking to herself and playing childish games with her self also. Hillary’s family has said she has been taking medication since she was 14 years old. Her husband and daughter don’t feel safe around her and has called the cops a dozen times to help control her anger.
I walked into the small cafe while my best friend pulled me along after her. The slightly bitter aroma of coffee hit me upon entry. “Young Dems” my friend called it, but I wasn’t enthused in the least. Quite frankly, I hate politics. They bore me and it annoys me that politicians act as if they know the color of the sky is red, though everyone knows it’s blue. I accompanied her because I had nothing else better to do and she spoke constantly about it. This specific group supported Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady, Senator of New York, and Secretary of State. They greeted me warmly and asked who I supported. I replied Bernie Sanders. I wasn’t going to lie. I thought he presented a nice platform and his
