Advantages And Disadvantages Of Being A Republican

A political party is defined as a group of people who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government. They agree on policies and programs for the society with a view to promote their supporters' interests. In democracies, political parties are elected by the electorate to run a government. The United States is a considered a two-party system, with its two most powerful parties being the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.

One of my self-defeating emotional patterns is that I worry that people stereotype me because of my race. I remember I had this emotional patterns a bit differently when I was in my own country, “IRAN”. When I was in Iran I worried that people stereotype me because of my religious beliefs. Since my religion was minority, many people don't like to hang out with me or in some cases they threaten me to change my religious beliefs or els. Although my fear was not unreasonable at the time,having this self-defeating emotional patterns crushed my self-esteem and stopped me to achieve my goals. In high school, students separate themselves into different groups. There are the cool ones, smart ones, weird ones, stoners, and several other groups that students separate themselves into. Although, all the students are equals, they do not see themselves as such due to their labels. The voting citizens of America do the same. Americans have six major political parties that they separate themselves into. Each party has different beliefs, although some may have similar ideas.

The Republicans have selected me, Arthur Chester, to be Garfield’s running mate. The Republican Party has favored Civil Service and I have decided to take part in this. In fact, I have considered not being nominated for a second term; in order to satisfy the American public. However, I know that a few may love me for this and others may not, but I am not just doing this for myself, but for the people.

The government and the Catholic Church have not always had a great correspondence. Out of the many parties that have been created for the government, through time, the Democrats and the Republicans have taken precedence. The Democrats lean more to the liberal side of things, while the Republicans lean more towards the conservative side. The Democrat party is the oldest existing party, and called the ‘party of the people.’ The Republican Party came into the existence just before the Civil War, mostly because of their stance for the abolition of slavery and their candidate’s win, Abraham Lincoln. Both parties have their pros and cons, and both parties have their problems with the Catholic Church.

The great aspect that Liberals are moving towards are Fairness for the Middle class, and Canada child benefit. I think that the political orientation that would best solve our social problems in the United States is libertarianism rather than any other.
