On February 2, 2018 at approximately 2136 hours, I was dispatched to the Family Dollar located at 6670 Ridge RD Port Richey, FL in reference to someone attempting to pass a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. Upon my arrival, I made contact with Family Dollar employee, Brandon Viet Le. Brandon advised a W/M had entered the store at approximately 2050 hours. Brandon advised the W/M quickly selected a glue stick valued at $0.97 and preceded to the checkout area of the store. Brandon advised the W/M then attempted to pay for the glue stick with what appeared to be a twenty dollar bill. Brandon advised the store has had several incidents of receiving counterfeit money recently, so he checked the bill with a marker to see if it was real. He advised the marker revealed the bill to be counterfeit. Brandon advised he told the W/M the bill was a counterfeit and the W/M advised he had just been paid by his boss. Brandon stated the W/M requested the counterfeit bill back and he told the W/M he was going to call the police. I recorded the video with my agency issued phone and a copy of the video was later electronically uploaded into evidence at PRPD. This case involves a male and female Hispanic, entering TJ Maxx during business hours, and concealing various items in their bags. The suspects attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Loss Prevention Agent Sergio Castro made contact with the suspects at the front entrance and retrieved all of the loss except for a black Michael Kors purse, valued at $159.99.
On 4/27/2018, I was conducting a business check of 8701 US 19 (Walmart) at which time I was approached by business loss prevention employee, Steven Uliano. Steven advised that a male subject identified as being Michael King was at a self-check out register and previously trespassed from this location.
On 07/04/2015 at approximately 1450 hours, I responded to 111 N. Main Street (Sovereign Guns) in reference to six firearms being reported missing from inventory.

I struggled to find a subject at first since I didn’t want to use the idea I created in CCT109. I decided to choose something that I’m familiar with which was Facebook. As I was doing research I came up with a proposal which was to discuss the kinds of online relationships explored through Facebook. As well as evaluate the difference between online and face to face relationships. After handing in the assignment, I was able to receive constructive feedback from my TA. On 02-04-16 at approximately 1349 hours, Officer Cass #2067 and I responded to Arco gas Station located at 2171 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Altadena in regards to a male and female arguing about $100.00. The incident occurred at 1518 N. Fair Oaks Avenue.
While conducting the area check, Walmart LP Mario n Edwards, approached my patrol vehicle and advised me that a White female subject stole a pair of glasses/ Edwrads pointed to the subject, who was standing next to the grocery entrance.
I responded to Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a burglary call. Upon arrival, I spoke with Patrick Mahoney. Mahoney stated that someone busted hit door handle and twisted the key hole, to unlock it. The offender stole a Springfield XDM 40 cal pistol. I did observe damage to the plastic around the key hole. There was no busted plastic laying on the ground upon my arrival. Mahoney also stated that he last seen the pistol yesterday. Mahoney also sated that he went to prattville today and a couple more stores arounf Troy, AL. Mahoney didn’t notice any of the damage to the door until he walked out of Wal-Mart. The pistol valued at $700.00 dollars. The serial number is: MG171824.
On June 30, 2015, AP closed an internal theft case at the Hudson’s Bay Anjou store for the value of $150. AP reviewed the CCTV and observed the maintenance associate concealing merchandise in the garbage. Live surveillance was conducted and the associate was observed to remove food from the packing and concealed it. The associate was interviewed and admitted to previous thefts of jewelry items and also some testers and food write offs.
Last week I interviewed Jacob Cavazos from store 14470, who sold 4500 dollars of gift cards without taking any money. The employee stated that the only reason why he sold the gift cards without taking money, is because he was blacked mailed. Jacob is no longer with the company, and I want to make sure I have a green light to contact authorities and prosecute.
On Saturday 9/16/2017 @ approximately 15:15 p.m. inside of Cage 5, Alishia Smith serviced a customer who asked for chips to play Poker. The customer presented her with $2500 in twenty dollar bills. She ran the money on the currency counter and paid the guest out $4500 ($4000 in $100 black chips and $500 in $5 red chips). This transaction caused Renelle to be $1000 short at the end of her shift. Alishia failed to count the money out on camera, so we couldn’t verify exactly how much the guest gave her. Throughout the shift Yvette was observed working out of Renelle’s cashier till which is a violation of Cashiering policy. She took $2500 in 20’s without prior authorization. Guest was contacted but has not returned the money as of 6/14/2017.
On 05/09/2016, Officer Esposito observed the flea market's front door smashed at approximately 2:00 Am . It was later determined that the subject, or subjects entered the business through the broken glass and stole only food, and the cash register which contained several coins worth approximately $9.00, reference P.R.P.D. case #2016-0683.
On November 5, 2016 at 6:22 p.m., Officer Etheridge and Sergeant Bever responded to the Dollar General at 4960 Gautier Vancleave road for a shoplifting report. Upon arrival we made contact with John Anthony Breeden, an employee of Dollar General. Breeden reported to us that a unknown white female came into the store and attempted to purchase a pack of Eagle 20 cigarettes valued at $3.75 with a gift card. The gift card was declined due to insufficient funds. The unknown woman then told Breeden that she had money in her vehicle and took the pack of cigarettes with her outside to retrieve money and never returned. Borjas advised me the Vons Grocery Store is desirous of prosecution. Officer Calderon had Borjas sign a private person arrest form (see attached form). Borjas told me the box of wine cost $18.00. I took a photo of the box of wine. I then gave the box of wine back to Borjas.
