A Hero's Journey Chapter 2

Hunter steps back and smirks as Carter climbs to his feet and brushes off his clothes. Carter resists the urge to trip hunter as he runs toward the beach and up to Hillcrest. Carter walks up the dirt hill to the chapel. The path winds through the woods and the roots of the closely grown trees are used in place of stairs. Carter arrives at the chapel. They don’t use the space as often as they should. It is simple with large screen windows, a plain wooden cross, and unadorned altar at the front. They sing inside occasionally, but the campers often don’t care for the building, they find it oppressive. Carter pauses at the top of the hill. Surveying the camp spread out below him,

The clock struck 3am; I jolted out of bed. Normally, I would be fast asleep dreaming about what I was going to awake to cooking on the stove, but this night was different. An immense pain struck me, so strong I couldn't bear to lie back down. The look of confusion and terror on my face must have been one to please even the likes of Stephen King himself.

At this point, Mia continues to follow the hero’s journey into the stage initiation. The initiation has more stages than any other part of the hero’s journey. Instead of facing challenges and trials, Mia begins with a mentor. Her mentor is her grandmother, Queen Clarisse. She teaches her all the things she needs to know about the royal world. Clarisse gives her a full makeover and excuses her for all her absences. Going into challenges and trials, Mia is faced with losing her best friend. She has the chance to become popular and fit in with everyone else but, she has to overcome the fame and all the attention. Leading into temptation she accepts an invitation to Josh Bryant’s beach party, who is the most popular boy in school and it was a dream

Chaol ran in a few minutes later. He had trouble catching up to her on a horse, a horse. When Chaol walked in, Celaena lunged towards Chaol, with her dagger in her hand, and tried to stab Chaol. He fell back. “You did this!” Celaena said, glancing towards Nehemia’s dead body on the bed. Still on top of Chaol, Celaena pushed all her weight on the dagger in her hand. She was struggling. It was like an invisible force was stopping her. When she glanced at Dorian, the guards in the room grabbed Celaena and Chaol told them to throw her into the dungeons. A few days had passed and Celaena was out of the dungeons and back in her rooms, though she never came out. A few more days passed by, and Celaena wanted to find out more about the King’s plans.

I sprinted through the streets, it was just about to hit curfew and I couldn't afford to miss it yet again. I sprinted past Miss Lemrac's tent and into my quadrant. Just as the sirens sounded I had made it inside. It was at that moment I heard a piercing scream, someone had not been so lucky as me, the Wächters had found someone who was out too late. Too often had I heard those screams, but that was life here in Berlin, there was no other option, we knew that. The cabin's roof had fallen in, and there was glass all over the floor from the windows. There was a strong musty smell in the cabin it made Ruth almost sick. She walked into the kitchen and looked at all the broken cabinets. Ruth opened the stove and to her shock she saw a family of raccoons. She then ran out of the house screaming at the top of her lungs.

However, they don't know what goes on behind closed doors; at first the marriage was amazing, filled with kindness and love, but then complications began showing up in the pregnancy, her body was too weak and there was an immense risk of losing the baby. Her husband, Steven was filled with uncontrollable rage while their little town wept in sadness for the unborn little girl. She was ripped from her heart wrenching memory lane by the sound of her husband's car pulling in the driveway, she gasps in surprise and whips her head towards the clock not believing what time it was. The thoughts of all the cleaning she didn't do flooded her mind and her heart stopped as the sound of the keys turning in the lock cause a fuzzy feeling of fear to fill her from head to toe, she knew she was going to be in an abundance of pain tonight. She quickly shoved the music box back in the drawer and shut it, her heart pounding in time of her husband's heavy steps coming up the stairs towards their room. She walked over to the door to check it out. When she tried to open the door, but it looked as if she could not get out. So she ran back to her bed and put the covers over her head. Then she felt breathing on the blanket like something was right in front of her. She slowly took the blankets from her head. She looked around the room, but she saw that no one was there. So she slowly walked around her room, when something jumped at her through the window. She was scared to death. She thought to herself it could be a monster; but no it wasn't, it was her brother.

They were standing outside of the house ready to go in, Sally could feel her heart outside of her chest. As they walked up the stairs to the entrance door, Sally got chills all over her body and she felt it get colder and colder. Sally's friends was so excited, the first thing they did were getting some drinks and talk to some boys. Sally wasn't really in a party mode, she needed some water in her face. Sally asked some dude where the bathroom was, and he said:” It is over there.” And he pointed at the closest door. Sally walked up to the door that she thought was the door to the bathroom, the door was hard to open so she had to punch the door in. When she did that she fell down the stairs, because the door went to the basement.

During the night, Paula jolted awake to the faint sound of footsteps upstairs. Her heart was starting to race faster than ever. Terrified, she woke up her family.

“I’m gonna go to bed”, Will yawned but the yawn was fake. Will waked to his room and waited for Patty to go to her room, Then he snuck up to the third floor because he had a strange gut feeling that something was wrong and he wanted to warn the others. Will tiptoed up the stairs in hope the floorboards wouldn’t creak like the sound of a old door opening with a rusty door hinge. Will made it to the top of the stairs and turned on the light only to be startled by what he saw in ahead of him. In front of him lied the dead bodies of the other two guests. Will reached into his jean pocket, grabbed his phone, and dialed 911. The phone rings but Will

“Jeez, could you guys make any more of a mess?” her mom complained. The girls ignored her and ran to the basement, where the loud movie was already playing. Everyone was deep into the movie until there was a loud knock on the door. Sophia’s mom sprang up to answer it and the girls continued on with their movie. The movie was about an anecdote of a young girl’s life and how her life was surrounded by a murder mystery. The three kids were already scared out of their wits even before Sophia’s mom came back into the room. As she turned the lights on, everyone screamed. But after a second, they saw the grief on the mom’s face and they all had compassion toward her. In her hand was Andrew’s bloody coat.

All of a sudden an actual wall appeared with a door. Before she could register what was going on, the door slowly opened and in stepped the creepy, old man from the restaurant.

A smash was heard and Tom could see shadows of flying glass through the crack of his parents door. He suddenly freezes, hearing screaming coming from that door in front of him followed by the sound of flesh being torn. Soon the sounds of the screams

Suddenly she hears whispering on the baby monitor she can't hear what he is saying so she slowly brings it closer to her ear and the talking is getting louder but when she holds it up to her ear the man screams “I got your baby, I got your baby, I got your baby” . she hears the door slam upstairs Renai speeds up there like a track runner. She is pushing on the door then suddenly it opens and falls on the ground. But Cali is also on the ground crying like she has been harmed by a wolf and the window in her room is left wide open and doltons room door is wide open to witch had been closed. Renai sees a girls in a long white dress walkover to Dalton she starts to run to the room the girl in the gown hits her with a chair in Daltons room she falls to the ground.
