Assignment Instructions for Hybrid Field Experience ATLAS Video Observation  (https://atlas.nbpts.org/login?next=%2F ) Directions:   On this form you will document 20 hours of video-based classroom observation. You will watch at least 5 within your potential content area and 5 outside of your potential content area.  The remaining videos can be of your own choosing. For each video you should watch the video, review the associated transcripts and artifacts, complete the observation form, and write a narrative response. For each video watched, enter the following information in the observation form: the title and case number of the video the date of observation the grade and subject of the class observed any student demographic information that is available in the teacher commentary section of ATLAS. The information about the number of students may be found in the teacher commentary section of the video in ATLAS. I believe what made the difference for students is the fact that the teacher allowed each student to take their time to present their idea of perfect booth, the rest of the class listened and paid attention to the classmate presenting, and the teacher gave positive feedback. The teacher did not try to rush them through the presentations, and I think this helped those students who are shy to not feel pressured. Did you notice any problems? If yes, how were they addressed? Building relationships. In this video, the teacher promoted building relationships between the students by having the students work together as a group to design a trade show booth. All students were very active; they engaged in brainstorming ideas, using marketing concepts previously learned in class and worked collaboratively. All students were polite with each other when disagreeing on a design and explained why they did not think that design would work, their explanations were respectful towards one another.
