| Fort Schuyler, fort in Throgs Neck, N.Y., at E end of Pennyfield Ave.; 40°48'N 73°48'W. Built (c.1856) as part of the defenses of N.Y. Harbor, it was converted to the Maritime College in 1934–1938. Fort is now State Univ. of N.Y. Maritime Col. |
