Conception Island, islet, central Bahama Isls., 15 mi/24 km NW of Rum Cay, 160 mi/257 km SE of Nassau; 23°50'N 75°08'W. Lighthouse. Santa María de la Concepción was the name Columbus gave to Rum Cay.
