Crosby, county (901 sq mi/2,334 sq km; 1990 pop. 7,304), NW Texas; Crosbyton; 33°36'N 101°17'W. On edge of Llano Estacado, with E-facing Caprock escarpment curving from SW to N. Elev. 2,100 ft/640 m–3,400 ft/1,036 m. Drained by White R. (forms White R. L. reservoir in SE) and North Fork Double Mt. Fork of Brazos R. Cattle ranching. Heavily irrigated region, agr. (cotton, grain, sorghum, wheat, hay); hogs, sheep. Formed 1876.
