Coco, Cayo (KO-ko, KAI-yo), coral island (25 mi/40 km long E-W, up to 8 mi/12.9 km wide) off E Cuba, in Old Bahama Channel, 25 mi/40 km N of Morón; separated by narrow strait from Cayo Romano (E); belongs to Camagòey Archipelago; 22°30'N 18°30'W. Low and swampy. Fishing. Tourist hotels built in 1990s; linked to small airstrip and causeway connecting isl. to Ciego de Ávila and Camagòey provs.
