Eastern Bay, Talbot co., E Md., irregular Chesapeake Bay inlet (c.5 mi. long, 7 mi. wide), indenting the Eastern Shore to S and E of Kent Isl.; connected with Chester R. (N) by narrow channel. Miles R., Wye R., other estuaries enter it. Bennett’s Point, at the entrance to the Wye, was the home of Richard Bennett, son of Md.’s one Puritan governor and father of another Richard, the richest American of his time. Oystering, fishing.
