Apopka, Lake
 
 
Apopka, Lake (uh-PAHP-kuh), central Fla., on the line bet. Orange and Lake cos.; nearly circular, and c.8 mi/12.9 km–9 mi/14.5 km in diameter; popular fishing area, with Winter Garden on SE shore. Connected by waterways with extensive central Fla. lake system, L. Apopka may be regarded as extreme head of Oklawaha R.
