| Gogebic Lake (go-GEE-bik), W Upper Peninsula, N Mich., 27 mi/43 km E of Ironwood, in Gogebic and Ontonagon cos., in Ottawa Natl. Forest; c.15 mi/24 km long, 2 mi/3.2 km wide; 46°30'N 89°34'W. Drained by West Branch of Ontonagon R. Lake Gogebic State Park on W side. Split roughly in 1/2 (E-W) by co. boundary and Eastern/Central time zone boundary. |
