Baca, county (2,557 sq mi/6,623 sq km; 1990 pop. 4,556), SE Colo.; Springfield; 37°19'N 102°33'W. Grain and livestock region bordering on Okla. and N.Mex (S) and Kansas (E); drained by Cimarron R. in SE, also North Fork Simarron R. (source in S), Bear Creek, Two Buttes Creek, Garrizo Creek, and Sand Arroyo. Two Buttes Reservoir (State Fishing Area) in N; part of Comanche Natl. Grassland in S and SW. Formed 1889.
