Farrell, city (1990 pop. 6,841), Mercer co., W central Pa., 11 mi/18 km NE of Youngstown, Ohio, and 2 mi/3.2 km S of Sharon, its larger twin city, on the Shenango R., near the Ohio state line; 41°12'N 80°30'W.
