Conemaugh
 
 
Conemaugh (KON-maw), river, c.70 mi/113 km long, formed by joining of Little Conemaugh and Stony Creek rivers at Johnstown; 40°19'N 78°55'W. Flows WNW past Morrellville and Blairsville, joins Loyalhanna R., from S, at Saltsberg where it forms Kiskiminetas R., which continues NW to Allegheny R., SW Pa. Federal flood-control works on the river and its tributaries include Conemaugh R. Dam.
