VERB:1. To make or become suitable to a particular situation or use: acclimate, acclimatize, accommodate, adapt, adjust, conform, fashion, fit1, square, suit, tailor. See CHANGE. 2. To bring into accord: accommodate, attune, conform, coordinate, harmonize, integrate, proportion, tune. See AGREE. 3. To bring (oneself) to accept: resign. See ACCEPT. 4. To reestablish friendship between: conciliate, make up, reunite. See LOVE. 5. To bring (something) into a state of agreement or accord: rectify, resolve, settle, smooth over, straighten out.
